One of my dad's goals after he went through the navy, my dad wanted to be a firefighter. The ways and preperation he went to be a firfighter is he had to pass the Official Paterson Fire Department test to become one. My dad also had to go through alot of mental and physical training to become a firefighter because you need to be calm during a fire and you need to be able to pry open things and smash through them to get people out of fires.
I interviewed my 8 yr. old brother, Daniel. A goal Daniel achieved was becoming a green-belt II in Karate in December. He accomplished this goal by going to Karate 3 times a week, working very hard and practicing everyday he could. Daniel would like to become a black-belt one-day. He told me that he plans to continue to go to every class that he can, and the he will work hard to achieve his dream. Daniel can't wait until that day comes.
I interviewed my mom. The goal that my mom had was to become a nurse. The way that she accomplished that goal was to go to school for extra years so that she would get a good nursing job. She also worked while she went to school so that she could have money to pay for her own school. Now my mom is a nurse and loves it.
One of my brothers goals this year is to make friends. Since me and him are new to the distric. I also want to make friends. My brother is succeding in with that goal. But you can never have to many friends.
My dad had a goal to finish a 140.6 mile triatholon. It started out with training for many many long hours. Then he would train for less hours but for more days. We went to the Adirondacks in New York state. The race startes with a 2.4 mile swim then a 112 mile bike ride and ends with a 26.2 mile run. His time was 12 hours 46 minutes and 16 seconds. I was very proud of him. He did it again the next year.
I interviewed my brother Kyle. Kyle is nine years old and his goal was to be iron man for football. Being iron man means you make it to every practice and game on time. Not only does iron man mean making it to practices and games on time it means playing your hardest and giving it your all. My brother achieved this goal by being on time to practices and games and working hard in both. To achieve this goal you need to be committed to the sport and really want to be there. Kyle is trying to be iron man again this year and he is almost close to his award. Taylor R.
i interviewed my 17 year old brother kerel and he said a goal he had was getting a good score on his 1st sat he did accomplish this goal. Working toward this goal meant he had to study hard and pay a lot of attention in school. My brother was proud to do well on his sat because if he didn't do well that could make a big impact on what he becomes in his life so he figured to do the right thing now and not have to go back later Aje B
